Vision

The Penn State Solar Decathlon 2009 Team, through an integrated, holistic approach, will develop a restorative residence for the betterment of the global environment, by utilizing renewable energies and green technologies.

Mission

Natural Fusion is the holistic integration of all elements. The Penn State Solar Decathlon 2009 Team will implement this strategy to make a solar-powered home that is ecologically restorative and economically feasible home for an average consumer. To do this, our interdisciplinary team will develop a prefabricated housing strategy for Natural Fusion, allowing for the adaptation and expansion of the home to meet the needs of individual occupants.

    Integration of Architecture, Engineering, and Natural Processes

    Sustainable Production of an entirely solar-powered home

    Restoration of the environment with healthier byproducts.

Our logo is symbolic of our principles and creative process. We are one Team made of many units, which may not all be the same but reflect each other in our ideals. To obtain our goal of excellence, we must balance multiple backgrounds, perspectives, and technologies. For inspiration, we look to nature, thus our design revolves around harnessing the Sun’s energy and linking it to our daily lives. Our Team is but one unit. Our question to you is: “Where will this tessellation end?”
